BACKGROUND
Linga Commercial Fishermen and Boatbuilders is a Nkhotakota Based company focusing on (like the name explains) commercial Fishing and Boatbuilding. The Company was established in 2007 focusing on boatbuilding. In September 2009 Linga diversified its operation to also include fishing, using a pair trawling.
BOATBUILDING
The people behind Linga has years of experience when it comes to boatbuilding. Mainly we focus on hardwood boats (up to 25 feet), but do also have experience using materials such as ferrocement and marine plywood. Please visit us or make contact to discuss your next project.
FISHING
Fishing is taking place on a daily basis, apart from Sundays. Landing is taking place in the afternoon hours. If you intend to purchase in bulk, please make a booking some hours or days up front. Relish is also sold at the beach on KG basis. Crates (approx 40 kgs) are sold by auction. We also sell dried fish.
A ice plant is in progress of beeing set up in Nkhotakota. But before this one is up and running we reccomend you to bring your own or buy it in either Lilongwe, Salima or elsewhere.
