Bua river Lodge, Bua Camp: Newly opened 2010. Offers camping, chalets and luxuary pole tents.  Restaurant and services like guided tours etc are also on offer. The turn off to Bua camp is about 12 km north of the Boma – then you proceed another 12 km on a dirt road (accessible with saloon car year round). Tongole Wilderness Lodge: Another development in progress is Tongole Wilderness Lodge. Their mission is to create the highest quality eco friendly lodge in a truly pristine wilderness which will deliver sustainable, direct employment, initially, for about 30-50 Malawian's. Profits from the income received will be invested in the local community projects such as education, local crafts and health which they hope will improve their quality of life. Their staff will be trained by some of the very best, most highly respected people in the safari business in both lodge management, and animal conservation. Tongole is working in partnership with the department of national parks and wildlife. Their rangers will accompany our guests on drives and walking safaris. Tongole will  be in operation in 2011. Tongole has the same turnoff, about 10 km north of Nkhotakota - then 25 km into the wilderness on a dirt road. www.tongole.com

Chipata Camp: The camp at the base of Chipata mountain is operated by one of the rangers. There is one shelter for hire but to be sure you are advised to bring your own tent and food. The camp is about 7 km from the Nkhotakota Game Reserve Entrance on the “Kasungu side” of the park. The road is not recommended unless you have a high clearance vehicle or a 4WD in the rainy season.
